2017-06-27 Myriam Boileau

Myriam Boileau

A student committed to using inclusive leadership when creating rallying projects

Myriam Boileau believes that where there’s a will, there’s a way! She proved this with her project to open a student coffee shop to fill a void in her school’s available dining options in the afternoon. She was only in Secondary 1 at Paul-Gérin-Lajoie-d’Outremont when she came up with the idea but she rallied other students to her cause and her efforts finally paid off: the Crok’ Dedans coffee shop opened its doors and is now a popular spot with students. This is a perfect example of the type of inclusive leadership that Myriam always assumes. Because although the coffee shop was her idea, it’s thanks to all those that she managed to mobilize, and still mobilizes today, that the project became a reality and a success. And she applies these same principles of mutual aid and cooperation to her involvement with the student council, which allows her to contribute to the quality of student life and of which she is currently, in her last year of high school, the president.
